Latham & Watkins Introduces an Early Experience Stipend for 2027 2L Summer Associates

Latham & Watkins is pleased to announce a new US$25,000 Early Experience Stipend for students who join the firm’s 2027 Summer Associate Program and spend the summer of 2026 doing certain qualifying legal work.*

This initiative underscores our commitment to providing early exposure to impactful, real-world legal work and will support legal work experiences in non-profit public interest organizations, judicial chambers, and academia. We believe these experiences help shape stronger future lawyers and deepen their understanding of the profession, enhancing their readiness and contributions to our firm. 

Application & Interview Timeline

Applications for 2027 2L summer positions will remain open through January 30, 2026. We continue to review applications and conduct interviews on a rolling basis. Offers for 2027 roles will not be extended until students’ first-term grades become available.

Applications also remain open through January 30, 2026, for 2026 1L Summer Associate positions in our Austin and Houston offices.
