PERE Awards 2025 honored Latham‑led transactions as Global, North America, Europe, and Asia‑Pacific Deals of the Year.

Latham & Watkins advised on all four transactions named Deals of the Year in PERE’s (Private Equity Real Estate) 2025 awards program, including Global Deal of the Year, North America Deal of the Year, Europe Deal of the Year, and Asia‑Pacific Deal of the Year. The prestigious awards program recognizes the largest private real estate achievements over the past year, including Latham’s four standout deals:

  • Global Deal of the Year: Ares Management’s US$3.7 billion acquisition of GCP International, establishing Ares Real Estate as one of the largest global vertically integrated real assets platforms. Latham represented Ares in the transaction.
  • North America Deal of the Year: Bridge Investment Group’s US$1.5 billion take‑private acquisition by Apollo, expanding Apollo’s real estate equity platform. Latham represented Bridge Investment Group in the transaction.
  • Europe Deal of the Year: StepStone Group’s joint venture with Greykite and acquisition and recapitalization of Vitalia, Spain’s second‑largest care home provider, from CVC Capital Partners and Portobello Capital for €1.5 billion. Latham represented StepStone Group in the transaction.
  • Asia‑Pacific Deal of the Year: ESR Group Limited’s US$7.1 billion take‑private acquisition by an investor consortium, the largest privatization from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange since 2021. Latham advised a consortium led by Starwood Capital Group, Sixth Street, and SSW Partners, which also included QIA, Warburg Pincus, and the founders of ESR.

“We are honored to represent clients across the globe on their most transformative deals that set new standards in the market, from the largest privatization on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange since 2021 to landmark M&A transactions reshaping the real assets industry,” said Doug Heitner, Global Chair of Latham’s Real Estate Practice. “Latham continues to build the preeminent global real estate practice, uniquely positioned to advise the full spectrum of market participants through complex, high‑stakes real estate transactions anywhere in the world.”
