Latham Advises Thyssengas on Its €1.4 Billion Long Term Financing
Latham & Watkins has advised Thyssengas on its new €1.4 billion platform financing, which comprises a significant initial revolving credit facility provided by a consortium of banks and private placement tranches provided by a combination of European and US investors.
Thyssengas is one of the leading transmission system operators in Germany with approximately 4,400 kilometres of gas pipelines in total. The new financing will support continued investment in the business, including its aim to become one of the leading grid operators in Germany for hydrogen and other green gases, and to actively drive the energy transition.
The Latham team was led by London infrastructure partners Seonaid Todisco and Conrad Andersen, with associates Lothar Krumpen, Tabatha Baylis, and Atharva Deshpande. Additional advice was provided by Frankfurt partner Sibylle Münch and counsel Ralph Dräger. Advice was also provided on regulatory matters by Frankfurt partner Joachim Grittmann; and on tax matters by Munich partner Ulf Kieker and London partner Karl Mah, with associates Pastora Little-Morgan and Henning Kleymann.
