Latham Advises on Financing for Eni CCUS Holding’s Liverpool Bay CCS Project
Latham & Watkins has advised the banks on the £500 million holdco financing in connection with Eni CCUS Holding Limited’s Liverpool Bay CCS carbon capture and storage transportation network project.
The financing will also enable other initiatives within Eni CCUS Holding’s portfolio, including L10-CCS in the Netherlands, one of the leading storage sites in Northwest Europe, and the Bacton CCS project in the United Kingdom, which has the potential to support the progressive decarbonization of industries in South East England and continental Europe.
The Latham team was led by London infrastructure partners Conrad Andersen and Alex Buckeridge-Hocking, with associates Sam Burleton and Nassef Ghazy. Advice on project development matters was provided by London counsel Vanessa McLellan; on derivatives matters by London partner Delyth Hughes, with associate Airlia Hie; and on tax matters by London counsel Lina Le Roux.
