Latham Advises Hachette Livre on the Takeover of Editions Petit à Petit

Paris team represented the global publishing group Hachette Livre on its successful bid on Editions Petit à Petit, a strategic asset acquisition under insolvency proceedings.
Latham & Watkins has advised Hachette Livre, the world's third largest consumer publishing group, on the takeover through a judicial sale plan of Editions Petit à Petit, a leading name in documentary comics and heritage graphic novels, under reorganization proceedings. The publishing house had been placed under reorganization proceedings in December 2025 at the request of its founder.
This transaction enables Hachette Livre to strengthen its position in the comics segment.
