Latham & Watkins Advises Goldman Sachs on MXN 5.1 Billion Credit Facility for Fibra EXI
Latham & Watkins has advised Goldman Sachs in connection with a senior secured term loan facility of up to MXN 5.1 billion with Fibra EXI. Fibra EXI will use the financing to, among other things, pay the consideration for its acquisition of a majority stake in Concesionaria de Infraestructura del Bajío, S.A. de C.V., a toll road company that operates the Salamanca-León toll road concession in the Mexican state of Guanajuato.
With this transaction, Fibra EXI becomes the first Fibra-E in Mexico to successfully combine an international private debt placement with an international bank credit facility, both denominated in Mexican Pesos, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of the Mexican infrastructure financing market. Latham previously advised PGIM, Inc. and certain of its managed accounts as note purchasers in Fibra EXI’s international debt private placement.
Latham & Watkins LLP represented Goldman Sachs with a team led by partner Guido Liniado and associate Andres Chester, with assistance from international visiting associates Jorge Hinzpeter* and Fathia Zapata. Advice was also provided on tax matters by partner Elena Romanova.
