Latham & Watkins Advises Astorg in US$1.075 Billion Acquisition of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Global Microbiology Business

Astorg, a leading Pan-European private equity firm, announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the microbiology business from Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. (NYSE: TMO) for consideration of approximately US$1.075 billion. Through the transaction, Thermo Fisher’s microbiology business will become an independent, privately owned platform, backed by Astorg.
