Jamie Wine Among Top Commercial Litigators Nationally

January 26, 2023
Daily Journal
Versatile trial lawyer honored for leading the Latham team that successfully resolved the precedent-setting equal pay litigation with the US Senior Women’s National Team.

California’s legal newspaper of record, the Daily Journal, selected New York partner and former Global Chair of Latham’s Litigation & Trial Department Jamie Wine for its Top Commercial Lawyers honor roll. The list spotlights premier commercial litigation lawyers from across the US whose work over the past 12 months has had a significant impact on California and the country.

As described in her winner profile, Wine and a cross-office, cross-discipline Latham team scored several important litigation victories that served as the backbone for the historic collective bargaining agreements announced by United States Soccer Federation, the US senior Women's National Team, and the US senior Men's National Team. Hired in March 2020 just seven weeks before trial, Latham prevailed on summary judgment, which, as Wine shared with the Daily Journal, “showed us a path to work together by bringing the women’s team to the table… We didn’t want to be fighting the women’s players, we wanted to be locking arms with them.”

Wine, a Fellow in the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers, also discussed with the publication her love of trial and arbitration work, and that her interests and case work spans multiple litigation disciplines and industries.
