Latham Advises on CNY 3 Billion Offering by Kazakhstan Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna

Latham & Watkins has advised a syndicate of bank arrangers on the establishment of a US$1.5 billion Rule 144A/Reg S medium-term note program by Samruk-Kazyna and its inaugural issuance of two tranches of CNY-denominated notes, raising in aggregate CNY 3 billion.
This is a debut CNY issuance by Samruk-Kazyna, which marks a milestone for its access to the offshore renminbi market and the diversification of its funding base.
The Latham team was led by London partners Mikhail Turetsky and Manoj Tulsiani, with associates Alexander Kartyshev and Tom Breheny.
