Latham & Watkins Advises Ichthys Energy Partners and Post Oak Capital on Asset Monetization

Multidisciplinary team represented the energy-focused private equity firm and its portfolio company in the sale of Permian Basin assets.
Post Oak Energy Capital, LP (Post Oak) announced that Ichthys Energy Partners, LLC (Ichthys) has completed the sale of a portion of its Permian Basin assets to multiple buyers. Based in Dallas, Ichthys is an upstream company pursuing inventory aggregation and development strategies across the Northern Delaware Basin. Latham previously advised Post Oak on an equity commitment to Ichthys in October 2024.
Latham & Watkins LLP represented Post Oak and Ichthys in the transaction with a Houston-based corporate deal team led by partners John Stavinoha and James Garrett, with associates Nate Guerra, Tanner Jarrell, and Josh Horn. Advice was also provided on tax matters by partner Tim Fenn.
