Latham Advises Coefficient as Lead Investor in Swvl’s Strategic Investment Round

Swvl Holdings Corp. (Nasdaq: SWVL) (Swvl), a leading provider of technology-driven mobility solutions for enterprises and governments, has announced that it has entered into a definitive securities purchase agreement for a private placement led by Coefficient LP (Coefficient), a US investment firm headquartered in Houston, Texas, seeded by the Sawiris family in Cairo, Egypt. Upon closing, Coefficient will become Swvl’s largest institutional shareholder.

Latham & Watkins LLP advised Coefficient in the transaction with a corporate team led by Houston partners Ryan Lynch and James Garrett, with associates Jacob Walsh, Jeff Serfass, and Garrett Shaw. Advice was also provided on tax matters by Houston partner Christine Mainguy.
