Latham & Watkins has advised a16z as a lead investor on the US$300 million Series A funding round of Volta, a vertically integrated AI infrastructure platform.

The round was led by a16z and Altimeter, with participation from Nvidia, Dell, and Matter. 

The Latham team was led by London partner Shing Lo, with associate Vladislav Vasilev, and Silicon Valley partners Ben Potter and Chad Rolston. Advice was also provided on tax matters by Silicon Valley partner Katharine Moir and London partner Aoife McCabe, with Chicago associate Jay Khurana; on regulatory matters by London partners Stephanie Adams and Jonathan Parker, with associate Milo Noone; on employment matters by London partner Kendall Burnett, with associate Sophie Timmins; and on data and technology matters by London partner Christian McDermott, with associate Dal Lim.
