Latham Advises on Ather Energy’s INR13 Billion Qualified Institutional Placement

Latham & Watkins has advised the bookrunning lead managers on the INR13 billion (approximately US$134 million) qualified institutional placement (QIP) by Ather Energy, a leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer in India.
The QIP was priced at a 2.76% premium and oversubscribed more than eight times, with participation from leading institutional investors.
The Latham team was led by Singapore partner Rajiv Gupta, with associate Sirada Chayabunjonglerd and Foreign Legal Consultants Jayati Arora and Jeffrey Zheng. Advice was also provided on tax matters by Chicago partner Enrique Rene de Vera and Los Angeles partner Eric Cho, with Chicago associate Jay Khurana.
