Latham Adds Preeminent Antitrust & Competition Partner in Brussels

Schubert brings extensive experience advising on high-profile cross-border transactions, complex investigations, and strategic regulatory matters across the technology, telecommunications, and industrial sectors. He has represented leading multinational companies in some of the European Commission’s most significant merger control, antitrust, and digital regulation matters, including ten Phase II EU merger investigations, and has played a leading role in precedent-setting Digital Markets Act (DMA) enforcement proceedings.

Schubert joins from Freshfields. He is a German-qualified lawyer who completed his states examinations in Cologne, holds a Maîtrise en Droit from the University Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne), and is admitted to practice in Germany and Belgium.
