Two London Partners Recognized in Fifty Most Influential Lawyers List
London Office Managing Partner Ed Barnett and Global Chair of the Private Capital Practice Yen Sum have been named to Financial News’ fifth annual Fifty Most Influential Lawyers list. The list recognizes 50 leading legal minds working on M&A, private equity deals, IPOs, fund formation, and financial regulation, advising on some of the biggest and most innovative transactions in the market.
Ed is one of the city’s foremost M&A dealmakers, with extensive experience advising public companies, boards, and investors on a wide range of high-stakes transactions. He recently advised Anglo American on its US$70 billion merger of equals with Teck; This Day and MARV on investment into the holding company of Brentford Football Club; and Ulta Beauty on the acquisition of SpaceNK.
Yen was recognized for her leadership as the Global Chair of Latham’s Private Capital Practice and her extensive experience advising on complex financings, hybrid capital investments, buyouts, reorganizations, and restructurings. She has advised on several recent high-profile cases, including Intrum, YourWorld, and Kem One.
