Latham Advises Naturion on Financing to Support Expansion of Environmental Infrastructure Platform
Naturion, an integrated owner of environmental infrastructure assets, has announced the closing of a pioneering financing with Société Générale and HSBC to support the continued development and expansion of its portfolio of stream and wetland restoration assets across the United States. The financing provides Naturion with additional capital to accelerate the growth of its national platform, supporting the development of environmental restoration projects that restore degraded streams and wetlands and generate credits used by infrastructure developers and other permit applicants to offset permitted environmental impacts.
Latham & Watkins LLP advised Naturion on the transaction with a finance deal team led by New York partners Kelly Cataldo and JP Brisson, and London partner Conrad Andersen. Finance advice was provided by associates Lauren Lozada and Georgia Bellett. Advice was also provided on tax matters by Washington, D.C. partner Scott Cockerham, with associate Chris Zhao; on hedging matters by New York partner Carlos Alvarez, with associate Jim Lambert; on executive compensation, employment, and benefits matters by New York counsel Rifka Singer; and on environment, land, and resources matters by Orange County partner Nikki Buffa.
