Dominic Geiser Named a Top 30 Litigator in Asia

Asian Legal Business named Hong Kong litigation partner Dominic Geiser to its 2026 Asia Top 30 Litigators list. The annual list spotlights Asia’s most accomplished litigators based on the significance and complexity of their casework. Dominic is one of three Hong Kong-based lawyers to be recognized this year, out of 16 submissions received by ALB.

Dominic and his team advise major corporates, financial institutions, and private equity and venture capital firms on high-stakes litigation and arbitration. He has particular experience in shareholder disputes, fraud and asset recovery, insolvency, and cross-border enforcement matters, and has litigated some of the most high-profile and landmark cases in the Hong Kong court over recent years.

Among his recent highlights, Dominic and his team, together with the restructuring and insolvency team, led the representation of the liquidators of Shanghai Huaxin in various Hong Kong court proceedings, including a novel ruling on the arbitrability of certain liquidator claims — the first time the Hong Kong court considered the issue. Dominic and his team are also representing Sonangol EP, the state-owned oil company of Angola, in a long-running shareholder dispute involving multiple parallel proceedings in Hong Kong and Singapore, and stakes exceeding US$2 billion, including successfully obtaining summary judgment of over US$270 million.
