Latham & Watkins Advises AMD in Acquisition of MK1 to Enhance AI Inference Performance and Efficiency

AMD has announced the finalization of its acquisition of MK1, a company known for its high-speed inference and reasoning-based AI technologies optimized for large-scale deployments. MK1’s Flywheel technology, optimized for AMD hardware, currently serves over 1 trillion tokens a day. The MK1 team will join the AMD Artificial Intelligence Group, contributing to the advancement of AMD's high-speed inference and enterprise AI software stack. This acquisition is a key milestone in AMD's strategy to enhance AI performance and efficiency, combining MK1’s software innovation with AMD's leading compute capabilities.
