Latham & Watkins Lawyers Recognized at 2025 Texas Legal Awards

The Texas Legal Awards, presented by Texas Lawyer, recognized two Latham attorneys who have made significant contributions to the legal industry and Lone Star State at their 2025 awards ceremony in Dallas.

• Houston corporate partner Ryan Maierson has been named the Attorney of the Year for the State of Texas; this marquee award recognizes a market leader who has had the biggest impact on the law or the Texas legal community.
• Partner Ryan Lynch, Local Corporate Department Chair of the Houston office, received an On the Rise (Under 40) honor for his accomplishments.

Latham & Watkins was also a finalist in several key categories, including Law Firm of the Year, underscoring the breadth of the firm’s practice in Texas.

Additionally, Latham was shortlisted in the following categories:

• Influential Woman of the Year: Lauren Anderson and Mollie Duckworth. Lauren, a Houston corporate partner and Vice Chair of the firm’s Energy & Infrastructure Group, and Mollie, Local Corporate Department Chair in Austin, were both shortlisted for the award, which honors trailblazers, advocates, and leaders who have shown exceptional skill in their fields and dedication to advancing equality.
• Dealmakers of the Year: Ryan Maierson and Kevin Richardson. The two Houston corporate partners were both named in the category, which highlights attorneys leading major transactions in Texas.
• Energy Attorney of the Year: Justin T. Stolte. Latham's Global Chair of the Energy & Infrastructure Group was a finalist for the award recognizing excellence in energy law.
