Latham Named Among Top Foreign Firms in India in 2025
The India Business Law Journal (IBLJ) again named Latham & Watkins among the top foreign law firms active in India. The list highlights firms that “distinguish themselves with multi-practice strength, managing sophisticated deals and high-stakes matters.” The recognition follows IBLJ’s naming of Latham partners Sidharth Bhasin, Andrew Bishop, Rajiv Gupta, and Sam Newhouse to its International A-List earlier this year.
IBLJ noted Latham “focuses on India’s most dynamic and high-growth sectors.” Spotlight cases include the firm’s work advising on Hyundai Motor India’s US$3.3 billion IPO; Swiggy’s US$1.35 billion IPO; MakeMyTrip on its S$3.1 Billion Convertible Notes and Primary Share Offerings; Osaka Gas, Sumitomo Corporation, and JOIN’s primary investment into AG&P LNG Marketing Pte. Ltd; Dhamra LNG Terminal Private Limited’s US$600 million project refinancing in connection with the refinancing of a 6MTPA LNG import terminal; and Coherus BioSciences’ sale of its UDENYCA Franchise to Intas Pharmaceuticals.
