Volare Applauds Latham’s Pro Bono Contributions

June 18, 2025
Volare
D.C. nonprofit celebrates the firm for its efforts on behalf of those impacted by crime.

Volare (formerly known as Network for Victim Recovery of DC) recently honored Latham for its pro bono contributions — the most matters taken on by any firm during the 2025 fiscal year.

“Latham’s dedication and leadership have made a real impact in advancing the rights of survivors,” said Naida Henao, Volare’s Head of Engagement, upon bestowing this recognition on the firm.

Since 2012, Volare has offered trauma-informed advocacy, therapeutic services, and legal assistance for anyone who’s been the victim of any crime in the D.C. area. In addition to working directly with individuals, Volare lobbies for survivor rights, with the goal of helping to better inform those involved in the criminal justice system, the media, and government as well as the wider community.

Over 80 lawyers in our Washington, D.C. office have taken on matters with Volare, ranging from counseling on intellectual property to researching attorney-client privilege to coordinating trainings in which lawyers have been able to attend court proceedings related to crime victims’ rights issues.
