Latham & Watkins Advises Blackstone and Hotwire Communications on Strategic Investment by Brookfield Infrastructure

June 16, 2025
Multidisciplinary team represents the all-fiber broadband and telecommunications services company and alternative asset manager in the transaction.

Hotwire Communications (Hotwire), a pioneering provider of all-fiber broadband and telecommunication services, has announced that Brookfield Infrastructure, a leading global infrastructure investor, has made a strategic investment in Hotwire. Brookfield Infrastructure’s investment reinforces its commitment to digital infrastructure, one of its core investment areas — and will support Hotwire’s long-term growth, including network densification, geographic expansion, and continued innovation in fiber-to-the-home delivery. As part of this investment, Brookfield Infrastructure has entered into a definitive agreement with funds managed by Blackstone to acquire Blackstone’s stake in Hotwire.

Latham & Watkins LLP represented Blackstone and Hotwire Communications in the sale of Hotwire to funds affiliated with Brookfield Asset Management. Hotwire Communications is a pioneering leader in fiber-optic telecommunications, providing high-performance Internet, voice, video, and smart home services since 2002. Headquartered in Florida with operations throughout the US, Hotwire has been recognized as the fastest ISP in the region and is known for its white-glove customer experience and technology.
