Latham Advises Glencore on Strategic Partnership With Kimmeridge Texas Gas and Commonwealth LNG

Kimmeridge Texas Gas (KTG) and Commonwealth LNG (Commonwealth) have finalized binding agreements with Glencore LTD (Glencore), one of the world’s largest globally diversified natural resource companies, to form a strategic natural gas and LNG partnership. Under the terms of the agreements, Glencore will purchase 2 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of LNG for 20 years from Commonwealth, as well as equivalent natural gas supply from KTG under a netback agreement at international prices.

Latham & Watkins LLP advised Glencore in the transaction with a team led by Chris Peponis and Taylor López, with support from associates Liu Siyao and Andy Yuan.
