Latham Advises Cobalt Holdings on Its Proposed US$230 Million IPO
Latham & Watkins has advised Cobalt Holdings plc (Cobalt Holdings), a company created primarily to purchase and hold physical cobalt and the only company offering public equity investors pure-play direct exposure to the price of cobalt, on its proposed US$230 million initial public offering (IPO) on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange.
As a result of the listing, Cobalt Holdings will be the only company offering public equity investors pure-play exposure to cobalt, without the direct risks and liabilities associated with cobalt exploration, development, or mining operations.
The Latham team was led by London corporate partners Anna Ngo, Shing Lo, Sam Newhouse, and James Inness, with counsel Koushik Prasad and associates Phoebe Richardson and Isabelle Knapton, with specialist input from counsel Evelyne Girio and associate Daniel Chen.
