New York Associate Named Top Lawyer Under 40
The Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) has named New York associate, Jeffrey J. Saavedra, as a recipient for its Top Lawyers Under 40 Award. This award “celebrates and highlights the accomplishments and contributions of HNBA members who have distinguished themselves in the legal profession, . . . [and] honors lawyers who have demonstrated professional excellence, integrity, leadership, commitment to the Hispanic community, and dedication to improving the legal profession.”
As an associate in the Finance Department and Structured Finance Practice, Saavedra has experience across various structured finance domains, including securitization, warehousing, and other forms of secured financing transactions, serving a diverse clientele that includes banks, issuers, underwriters, placement agents, as well as borrowers and lenders. He works on the financings for both traditional and esoteric asset-backed securities, spanning multiple sectors such as financial technology, energy, music, receivables, and other burgeoning industries.
Saavedra actively engages in pro bono work, predominantly advocating for Latino clients in various legal areas such as asylum, intellectual property rights, corporate governance, and the elevation of military discharge classifications.
