New York Counsel Recognized Among Top 100 Female Lawyers in Latin America

New York counsel Marcela Ruenes has been named by Latinvex to its Latin America’s Top Female Lawyers list. The annual list recognizes the top 100 female lawyers specializing in Latin America among international law firms. The lawyers are selected by  Latinvex’s editorial and research staff using criteria including recent track record on major deals and business, prominence of firm in Latin America, and rankings.

Ruenes, a member of Latham’s Banking and Latin America Practices, has built a leading practice in the region, advising investment and commercial banks, direct lenders, borrowers, and private equity firms in a range of complex domestic and cross-border transactions. Her practice focuses on leveraged financings, acquisition financings, asset-based lending, and investment grade loans, as well as debt restructurings including debtor-in-possession and exit financings.

In 2022 Latinvex named Ruenes as one of Latin America’s Rising Legal Stars and earlier this year Ruenes was named among Profiles in Diversity Journal’s 2023 Latino Leaders Worth Watching.
