Latham Advises Allianz on Rede Aberta’s Senior Debt Package for Expansion of FTTH Network

Latham & Watkins has advised Allianz Global Investors (AGI) in connection with an English law governed financing for Rede Aberta, a leading neutral open access network provider in Galicia owned by The Connecting Europe Broadband Fund (CEBF).
The new senior debt package will facilitate capital and operating expenditure in relation to the expansion of Rede Aberta’s fiber-to-the-home network infrastructure in Galicia. This transaction represents a significant accomplishment for Rede Aberta, solidifying its ownership and operation of a unique infrastructure asset within the Galician FTTH market.
