Latham & Watkins Assists LG Chem in Securing CFIUS Clearance

CFIUS concluded that there were no unresolved national security concerns with respect to LG Chem’s Acquisition of AVEO Oncology.
LG Chem, Ltd., a leading global chemical company, has received clearance from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) in connection with its acquisition of AVEO Oncology, a commercial stage, oncology-focused biopharmaceutical company. CFIUS concluded that there were no unresolved national security concerns with respect to the transaction.
