A Word About Wind – the world’s biggest community for people working on the financial side of the global wind industry – named partners Matthew Henegar and Kelly Cataldo to its Legal Power List. This list honors the “100 most influential lawyers working on the biggest deals in the global wind sector.”
Matthew Henegar is a partner in the Project Development & Finance Practice in the New York office and the former Local Chair of the New York Finance Department. Henegar advises clients in all phases of the development, financing, and restructuring of power, renewable energy, oil and gas, and other infrastructure projects.
Kelly Cataldo is a partner in the Project Development & Finance Practice in the New York office. Cataldo advises clients through all phases of the construction, financing, and investment in energy, oil and gas, and other infrastructure projects with a focus on renewable energy assets.
Henegar and Cataldo earned their place on the 2022 Legal Power List for their dynamic deal making prowess in the sector and specifically, for leading the project financing team that advised a group of nine international and US-based banks in the US$2.3 billion financing of the Vineyard Wind project. Vineyard Wind represents one of the largest investments in a single renewable energy project in the US, the first major offshore windfarm to achieve financial close in the US, and it has been billed as the inception of a new domestic industry that will eliminate emissions from the power sector.
