Latham Advises Energy Capital Partners on Sale of Triton Power to Equinor and SSE Thermal

Latham & Watkins has advised Energy Capital Partners, an energy-transition infrastructure investor, on the sale of Triton Power to Equinor and SSE Thermal for a total consideration of £341 million. The deal is expected to close in September 2022, subject to customary closing conditions, and supports the company’s ambitions to contribute to decarbonisation in the UK. Once complete, Equinor and SSE Thermal will own Triton Power through a 50:50 joint venture.
