Latham Honored With 10 “Deals of the Year” Awards for Transactions in Latin America

Firm recognized by LatinFinance, Proximo, and IJGlobal for advising on the most notable deals from the past year.

Leading platforms LatinFinance, Proximo, and IJGlobal honored Latham with "Deals of the Year" awards, at separate ceremonies held in 2022, for 10 industry-leading transactions on which the firm played an integral role.

LatinFinance's 2021 Deals of the Year Awards recognize “outstanding transactions as well as the people and institutions that made them happen.” Winners were selected based on an exhaustive selection process by its editors from a record number of submissions, according to LatinFinance. Latham advised on the following winning deals:

Proximo honored Latham with awards for five out of its 10 winning deals for the Latin America region. The Proximo Deals of the Year 2021 Awards – one of “the industry’s most respected recognitions of achievement and innovation in project, energy, and infrastructure finance” – were selected by their editorial team from hundreds of nominations. Latham was shortlisted for Latin America Law firm of the Year and advised on the below winning deals:

Latham was also recognized at the IJGlobal Americas Awards for notable deals in Latin America. The awards, selected by an expert panel of judges, “are a celebration of best in class deals in energy and infrastructure over the past year,” according to IJGlobal. Latham advised on the following award-winning deals for 2021:

  • LatAm Export Finance Deal of the Year: Metro de Lima Linea 2
  • LatAm Social Infrastructure Deal of the Year: Smart Luz Smart City Project
  • LatAm Oil & Gas Deal of the Year: PETROBAL
