Fredrickson’s career as a leading advisor to the energy sector is celebrated by the University of Texas School of Law publication.

Houston partner, Robin Fredrickson, received the Ernest E. Smith Lifetime Achievement Award at the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law symposium banquet on February 24, 2022. This prestigious award honors legal practitioners who have made significant contributions to the oil, gas, and energy industry and participated in the advancement of natural resources law, policy, or scholarship. The Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law is a publication out of the University of Texas School of Law focused on promoting scholarship in the energy legal field and it is the only entirely student-edited publication of its kind in the country.

In her 30+ year long career as one of the world’s most renowned and preeminent advisors in the energy field, Fredrickson has guided clients across industry sectors in their most important and complex transactions through numerous multi-million dollar and billion dollar deals. While on the front lines of the ever-changing and ever-active energy field, Fredrickson built an unmatched track record as a trusted advisor to clients, including exploration and production companies, midstream companies, and private equity clients in mergers and acquisitions, corporate, and oil and gas transactions. There are a limited number of attorneys with Fredrickson’s experience, and even fewer leading women with this experience, making her a true trailblazer in the industry.

Fredrickson is admired by her colleagues, and respected by her peers, even those on the other side of the negotiating table. She has played a key role in steering the firm’s work in the energy sector and has made countless contributions to the broader industry. Fredrickson has also served and continues to serve as an excellent mentor, freely giving her time and knowledge to next generation of leaders.

Fredrickson has been recognized by Woman Leader in The Law by The American Lawyer in 2021, Chambers USA from 2010 through 2021, The Legal 500 US from 2016 through 2019, Who’s Who Legal: Energy by Law Business Research Ltd. from 2017 through 2021, Best Lawyers by BL Rankings from 2010 through 2022, Super Lawyers Texas from 2012 through 2019, The International Who's Who* of Oil & Gas Lawyers in 2010, 2011, and 2015, and Guide to the World's Leading Energy Lawyers in the 9th Edition.
