Two Partners Named Entertainment Power Lawyers: New York

New York Mergers & Acquisitions partner Justin Hamill and New York Connectivity, Privacy & Information partner Alli Stillman have been named 2021 Power Lawyers by The Hollywood Reporter (THR) in the entertainment industry publication’s second annual list of New York’s top entertainment lawyers. The list celebrates 20 lawyers “who are at the forefront of deals and disputes.”

In his profile, Hamill was recognized for representing client Endeavor on it sale of 80 percent of Endeavor Content to Korean entertainment giant CJ ENM, its US$1.2 billion acquisition of sports betting firm OpenBet, and its initial public offering. Discussing the hot M&A market, Hamill noted: “There is an incredible amount of activity around film and TV production. Access to high- quality content is exciting for investors and corporates alike.”

In her profile, Stillman was celebrated for her work on “thorny” music rights battles. THR specifically noted her work defending gaming platform Roblox and streaming giant Spotify from copyright claims. This is Stillman’s second year in a row being recognized in this contest.
