New York Legal Assistance Group Lauds Latham
New York Legal Assistance Group recently honored New York associates Amanda Stanzione and Tish Sahner as well as former associate Brittany Dryer, now Global Manager of Attorney Development, for their pro bono contributions to NYLAG projects and matters.
Since its founding in 1990, NYLAG has assisted people in poverty or in crisis on an array of matters, with a focus on economic, racial, and social justice. In addition to counseling individual clients, NYLAG works to identify systemic issues and advocates for changes in laws and regulations, government reform, and more equitable court practices.
NYLAG is a longstanding pro bono partner of the firm, and together we have engaged across several pro bono practice areas, including representing immigrant survivors of domestic violence in U-visa and VAWA matters, seeking asylum for clients fleeing persecution, and staffing a COVID hotline. In 2020, our firm donated more than 1,500 hours of pro bono service to NYLAG.
