Latham & Watkins Represents SoftBank Vision Fund 2 in Chime Financials’ US$750 Million Funding Round

Chime Financial Inc., the company that provides checking and savings accounts and introductory credit cards to consumers through its popular smartphone app, has announced it raised US$750 million in its latest funding round, in a move that values the financial-technology startup at about US$25 billion.

Latham & Watkins LLP represents SoftBank Vision Fund 2 in the financing with a corporate deal team led by Bay Area partners Saad Khanani and Ben Potter, with Bay Area associate Tulin Gurer.
