Latham & Watkins Advises Navitas Petroleum in Final Investment Decision To Develop the Shenandoah Project

A Houston-based deal team advises oil and gas exploration and production company in the transaction.

Navitas Petroleum has announced that it has made a final investment decision to develop the Shenandoah Project in the ultra-deepwater Gulf of Mexico. The company has partnered with Beacon Offshore Energy and HEQ Deepwater for the project which is expected to commence in 2022.

Latham & Watkins LLP represents Navitas in the transaction with a corporate deal team led by Houston partner Stephen Szalkowski, with associates Greg Sorenson and Joseph Kmetz. Advice was also provided on tax matters by Houston partner Jim Cole, with associate Marianne Standley.
