Latham Wins Six 2021 IFLR Europe Awards

Latham & Watkins has received six accolades at the IFLR Europe Awards 2021 across team of the year, firm of the year, deal of the year, and rising star categories. The firm’s recognitions include: 

• High Yield Team of the Year – For the seventh year in succession, Latham’s European high yield practice was recognized for advising on a number of standout transactions including the acquisition financing for ThyssenKrupp Elevator, the debt and equity financing package for Aston Martin Lagonda, and SYNLAB’s refinancing and debt extension which won High Yield Deal of the Year.
• Project Finance Team of the Year – Latham’s European project finance team won praise for advising on deals such as Africa’s largest project financing Mozambique LNG project, a senior secured infrastructure bond refinancing for Galaxy Pipeline Assets Bidco Limited, and advising a consortium of global financial institutions on the landmark financing for Northvolt to support the creation of Europe’s first green battery gigafactory which won Project Finance Deal of the Year.
• Germany High Yield Firm of the Year – Latham’s German high yield team was honored for its role advising funds managed by Triton on the high yield bond financing in connection with the acquisition of the RENK group, advising Cheplapharm Arzneimittel GmbH on its initial and follow-on issuances of senior secured notes as well as advising first time issuer Profine on its offering of senior secured notes.
• Rising Star of the Year – London Banking associate Robert Davidson was named among the International Rising Stars of the Year – Davidson was honored for his impact as lead associate on a number of complex and notable deals, as well as his contribution to Latham’s finance department.
