Latham & Watkins Advises Vencer Energy in Acquisition of Midland Basin Assets

Vencer Energy LLC (Vencer), has announced it has agreed to acquire Hunt Oil Company’s Midland Basin assets for an undisclosed sum. The assets comprise 44,000 acres across five counties in the Midland Basin, with current daily production of approximately 40 mboepd. It is Vencer’s first acquisition since it was established by Vitol last year.

Latham & Watkins LLP represents Vencer Energy LLC in the transaction with a corporate deal team led by Houston partner Stephen Szalkowski, with associates Thomas Hillebrand, Alice Parker, Corey Allen, Rebecca Kendall, Luke Strother, and Austin Sheehy.
