Firm Wins TrustLaw’s Anniversary Award

Latham began collaborating on pro bono projects with TrustLaw, the pro bono service of the Thomson Reuters Foundation, in 2010. Since then, we have worked on more than 350 projects around the globe, including:

• Coordinating a massive legal research project for 28 Too Many, a nonprofit organization working to end female genital mutilation 
• Assisting the International Rescue Committee, a global humanitarian and advocacy organization with urgent legal advice concerning border control, boat push-backs, maritime rescue, discriminatory asylum procedures, and family reunification.
• Drafting and coordinating the Global Corporate Pro Bono Map, a must-have guide designed to help corporate legal departments navigate the educational, regulatory, licensing, and insurance requirements for local and foreign-qualified in-house lawyers delivering pro bono services where they work.

In recognition of this ongoing partnership, TrustLaw recently honored Latham with its inaugural Anniversary Award. TrustLaw’s annual awards “celebrate the remarkable pro bono projects undertaken by legal teams with NGOs and social enterprises around the world.” The Anniversary Award recognizes our work with TrustLaw over the past decade.
