Latham & Watkins Advises Invitation Homes in US$375 Million Joint Venture with Rockpoint to Acquire Single-Family Rental Homes

Members of the firm’s Real Estate Practice and REIT Industry Group are advising the nation’s premier single-family home leasing company.

Invitation Homes Inc. (NYSE: INVH) (Invitation Homes) has announced that it has entered into an agreement with Rockpoint Group, L.L.C. (Rockpoint) to form a joint venture partnership (JV) that will acquire single-family homes to operate as rental residences.

Latham & Watkins LLP represents Invitation Homes in the transaction with a corporate deal team led by partners Michael Haas in New York and Julian Kleindorfer in Los Angeles, with associates Mark Semotiuk and Matthew Sommer. Los Angeles partner Ana O’Brien, with associate William Kessler, advised on tax matters.
