New York Partner Recognized as Attorney of the Year

New York partner Veronica Relea, a member of Latham’s Project Development & Finance and Latin America Practices, has been named Attorney of the Year 2019 by the Puerto Rican Bar Association (PRBA). Relea received the award at PRBA’s annual Scholarship Fund Gala Banquet, which raises funds for Puerto Rican and Latin students pursuing careers in law.

Relea, a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, joined Latham in fall 2004, and has developed significant experience representing project developers and lenders in highly structured and complex finance transactions. Her reputation advising on banking and finance matters has earned her numerous honors, including being named by Latinvex as one of Latin America’s top 100 female lawyers with an international firm and to the Hispanic National Bar Association’s Top Lawyers Under 40 list in 2018. She is also recommended for her work in banking and finance by The Legal 500 Latin America and for her work in project finance by The Legal 500 US.
