Entertainment, Sports & Media Partner Named 40 Under 40 Honoree

The Daily Journal has named Entertainment, Sports & Media partner Laura Washington a 2019 40 Under 40 honoree for her work “represent[ing] high profile clients in complex business disputes in the entertainment, media and other sectors.”

Washington focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation and intellectual property litigation, including copyright and trademark. Her wide-ranging litigation experience includes both trial and appellate work. She has extensive motion and discovery experience, and has conducted internal investigations, taken and defended numerous depositions, negotiated settlements, and successfully argued motions in state and federal court.

The Daily Journal particularly recognized Washington for securing the dismissal a federal class action brought by women alleging they were sexually assaulted or harassed by Weinstein against Miramax Inc. and Tim Sarnoff, an independent board member of The Weistein Co.
