Los Angeles Partners Honored as Top Litigators & Trial Lawyers
The Los Angeles Business Journal (LABJ) has named Los Angeles Co-Chairs of the Litigation & Trial Department, Robert Perrin and Marvin Putnam, as 2019 Top Litigators & Trial Lawyers in Los Angeles. The award honors “masters of their craft,” who are the “lawyers you want in your corner in court.”
Perrin has extensive experience in successfully handling complex business litigation matters from pre-litigation through appeal. He regularly represents companies, financial institutions, and corporate officers and directors in securities class actions, shareholder derivative litigation, and mergers and acquisition litigation. Perrin also regularly assists clients in conducting internal investigations and responding to SEC and DOJ investigations, and advises on internal compliance issues.
Putnam has earned a reputation as a market-leading entertainment litigator. He has a demonstrated skill in handling a range of high-profile disputes, including intellectual property and business torts. Complementing his trial work, Putnam provides prepublication review for national news, variety, and talk show programs, national publications as well as film and television studios. He also often advises on complex entertainment and media transactional matters with an eye to limiting clients' potential litigation or exposure.
The LABJ praised Perrin for his work serving as the lead attorney representing PG&E in connection with all shareholder litigation related to the devastating October 2017 Northern California wildfires and Putnam for his defense of Miramax and former board member of The Weinstein Company, Tim Sarnoff in the US-based Harvey Weinstein-related litigation.
