Environment, Land & Resources Partner Elected Fellow

August 26, 2019
Michael Romey recognized by the American College of Environmental Lawyers.

Los Angeles partner, Michael Romey, was elected Fellow to and awarded membership in the American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL). Michael was one of just 25 people selected this year for their distinguished experience, high standards of practice, and substantial contributions to environmental law. Those selected for this impressive honor include top environmental lawyers in government service, public interest, academia, and private practice drawn from across the country.

The ACOEL is a professional association of distinguished lawyers who are dedicated to maintaining and improving the ethical practice of environmental law, the administration of justice, and the development of environmental law at both the state and federal levels. Fellows are chosen by their peers and must earn this recognition based on achievements over at least a 15-year period.

“We are very proud of Michael and share ACOEL's deep respect for his many professional accomplishments," said Jim Arnone, Global Chair of the Environment, Land & Resources Department. “Michael's in great company — side by side with many of the country's best environmental legal minds. As always, Michael is making Latham proud!"
