Corporate Partner Named 40 Under 40 Honoree

The Washington Business Journal (WBJ) has named Capital Markets partner Leakhena Mom a 2019 40 Under 40 honoree for her work “help[ing] businesses navigate the capital and financing demands of some large mergers and acquisitions.” The award recognizes those “shaping and leading the Greater Washington landscape.”

Mom’s practice focuses on the areas of corporate finance, securities regulation, and general securities and corporate matters. She represents private equity firms, investment banks, and public and private companies in a variety of financing and other transactions.

The WBJ also recognized Mom’s contributions to the community, including pro bono work “representing unaccompanied minors from Honduras seeking special juvenile immigrant status as part of her work with nonprofit Kids in Need of Defense” and her role as a member of Latham’s Women Enriching Business Committee, which promotes women in business both inside and outside the firm.
