Associate Named to Chicago Jewish 36 Under 36 List

Karen Klass was recognized by Oy!Chicago for her pro bono legal work and dedication to enriching the lives of people with disabilities.

Oy!Chicago, in partnership with the Jewish United Fund’s Young Leadership Division, has named Chicago associate Karen Klass to the 2019 Double Chai in the Chi: Chicago Jewish 36 Under 36 list. The annual list honors young professionals who are making a difference through their work, giving back in their free time, and earning distinction in the Jewish community and beyond.

profile article about Ms. Klass highlights the many ways that she gives back to her community. She is a life-long volunteer with Keshet programs and currently serves on the junior board of the not-for-profit organization, which provides educational, recreational, and residential services to special needs adults and children in Chicago. Ms. Klass also dedicates significant time to providing pro bono legal work for individuals with disabilities, asylum seekers, and others, and serves as a member of the Equip for Equality Young Professionals Board.

Ms. Klass says that her desire to advocate for those who are unable to do so led her to a career in law.
