Latham Honored by TXF at Perfect 10 Deals of the Year Event

Latham & Watkins’s Project Development & Finance Practice was recognized by TXF’s Perfect 10 Deals of the Year 2018: Export Finance award program, receiving a distinction for advising on the Overall ECA Finance Deal of the Year as well as receiving the title of best law firm in the Exporters’ Choice awards. 

The awards program honors the most innovative and market-influencing transactions within trade, commodity, ECA/DFI-backed and project financing matters across industries within the last year. 

The Overall ECA Finance Deal of the Year went to the Duqm Refinery Project. Latham advised the ECAs, conventional lenders and Islamic financiers in the US$4.61 billion financing for the project. According to TXF, the deal was “the largest project financing in the EMEA region in 2018 as well as the largest ever project financing in the Sultanate of Oman.”
