Chambers USA recognized Latham & Watkins as its Washington, D.C. 2019 Law Firm of the Year for Environment at its awards ceremony on June 17, 2019. The award, based on Chambers USA’s research for its 2019 edition, reflects the prominence and achievements out of the firm's Washington, D.C. office over the past twelve months.

Chambers USA recognized the Environment, Land & Resources (ELR) Department for its “strengths in transactional support and litigation, including at [the] appellate level,” as well as its “know-how on air quality, contamination and regulatory matters.”

“This is a great recognition,” said Global Chair of the ELR Department, Janice Schneider, “and we wouldn’t be receiving this award without the talent and dedication of all of our Washington, D.C. and other team members across the firm.”

Latham was also shortlisted in both the Corporate Crime and Healthcare categories and Global Co-Chair of Latham's White Collar Defense & Investigations Practice, Kathy Ruemmler, was a shortlisted individual for DC White Collar Crime & Government Investigations.
