Latham partners Joseph Calabrese, Kenneth Deutsch, and Marvin Putnam have been honored by Variety magazine in its annual Lega​l Impact Report for their industry leadership and recent work in the firm's Entertainment, Sports & Media (ESM) Practice.

Transactional partners Joseph Calabrese and Kenneth Deutsch, and Litigation & Trial partner Marvin Putnam, were each profiled among “the top attorneys in the entertainment business," according to Variety. The Legal Impact Report recognizes legal advisers and in-house counsel who have successfully navigated high-profile deals and disputes in the entertainment industry during the past year.​​ 

J​oe​​​, Global Chair of the ESM Practice, was recognized as an industry leader when it comes to live-TV rights, having negotiated an eight-year pact on behalf of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association with Dick Clark Productions and NBC to broadcast the Golden Globes through 2026.

Ken​ was cited for his advice to clients such as A24, Macro, MGM, and Netflix to “help structure complex film financing and co-production transactions." 

Marvin​​​, Co-Chair of the firm's Litigation & Trial Practice in Los Angeles, was recognized as the go-to lawyer for Hollywood litigations and crises — ranging from his representation of various defendants in lawsuits worldwide stemming from Harvey Weinstein's predatory behavior to his central role in the historic ongoing labor negotiations between talent agents and writers.
