In September 2018, a group of Latham partners competed on behalf of Ubuntu Pathways in the 2018 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship, raising money to help the organization build a new school. This school will be the centerpiece of Ubuntu’s state-of-the-art headquarters and campus, providing health care, cultural enrichment, vocational training, and education to the people of Port Elizabeth.
“We are proud to support Ubuntu. The Latham athletes who competed with me and I were humbled and honored to visit the Ubuntu community, to meet its staff—who work so hard every day to break the cycle of poverty in Port Elizabeth—and to see its programs at work. What an incredible impact Ubuntu has had,” said Washington, D.C. partner Bob Steinberg, who accepted the award on the firm’s behalf.
